Consultant cardiologist Dr Antonis Pavlidis is based at St Thomas' Hospital, where he specialises in interventional cardiology. His particular interest is in the treatment of complex coronary disease and the percutaneous treatment of chronic total occlusions. He also treats a range of other conditions, including chest pain, palpitations, valvular heart disease, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, and heart failure. Dr Pavlidis gained his medical degree from the University of Athens before undertaking specialist training at St Thomas' Hospital and the London Chest Hospital. He completed his PhD in primary dyslipidaemia and has authored several book chapters and peer-reviewed publications. He is currently involved in clinical research in the area of preventive and interventional cardiology.
